Gulfstream Delivers First G800: A New Era of Ultra-Long-Range Jets Begins

With the first Gulfstream G800 now delivered, business aviation enters a new chapter: the dawn of next-generation ultra-long-range jets, soon to be joined by Dassault’s Falcon 10X and Bombardier’s Global 8000.

A Milestone Delivery

Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered the first G800, just four months after obtaining FAA and EASA certification. The aircraft was handed over from the company’s Appleton, Wisconsin completions center, marking the official entry into service of the most advanced ultra-long-range Gulfstream to date.

The G800 is designed to push the boundaries of long-distance travel, offering a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km) at Mach 0.85 and seating for up to 19 passengers. It also integrates the Symmetry Flight Deck with active control sidesticks and advanced avionics, enhancing both safety and efficiency. The cabin features larger windows, improved lighting, and multiple configurations to meet the demands of the most discerning travelers.

This milestone delivery is more than just an addition to Gulfstream’s portfolio—it symbolizes the beginning of a new generation of business aviation, where performance, comfort, and cutting-edge technology converge.

The New Generation of Ultra-Long-Range Leaders

The entry into service of the G800 sets the tone for a new competitive era in business aviation. In the coming months and years, the segment will be defined by three flagship aircraft:

  • Gulfstream G800: Now delivered, it leads the new wave with unmatched range and Gulfstream’s proven track record in large-cabin jets.

  • Dassault Falcon 10X: Expected to enter service in the near future, promising an exceptionally spacious cabin, advanced aerodynamics, and French engineering excellence.

  • Bombardier Global 8000: Positioned to become the world’s fastest and longest-range business jet, combining speed, luxury, and Bombardier’s expertise in long-haul connectivity.

Together, these aircraft are set to redefine what ultra-long-range travel means, ensuring nonstop access between virtually any two cities on the planet while offering an unprecedented level of onboard comfort and connectivity.
